Post-911 Era (2001.09.11 - ?)
Annotation "9/11" due to non-standard calendar, in computer-speek
2001.09.11 would refer to "Septembre 9th, 2001 a.d." (aka "Sept 9,
2001 c.e.). Take your pick, either way... "And I bet it don't get any
easier from here on". (not an exact quote Harvey Pekar)
Stuff
In a superb recreation of Jackson Pollock's radio
interview, Ed Harris gets to utter those words:
Radio person: Why then the new?
Pollock: After the atomic bomb, the old
ways are simply in-sufficient.
(by no means an exact quote)
(And yet of course, we are no more "new" than we were
after Goya's "The Third of May 1808", or Picasso's
"Guernica", etc.
And yet, it is Picasso's "girl with dove" as
well as a thousand hundred hopes for peace.
And this just in: Radio Free Metal Heads
invade MARS!!!! Is there no hope to
repulse this insanity??!!!! Can the
president do nothing to return us to
normalcy???
