Annotation "9/11" due to non-standard calendar, in computer-speek
2001.09.11 would refer to "Septembre 9th, 2001 a.d." (aka "Sept 9, 
2001 c.e.).  Take your pick, either way... "And I bet it don't get any

interview, Ed Harris gets to utter those words:

    Radio person: Why then the new?
    Pollock:  After the atomic bomb, the old
              ways are simply in-sufficient.
