Roger Eliot Fry

Roger Eliot Fry (b.1866, London; d.1934, London)

After starting an academic career in the Natural Sciences, ?date? at King's
College, Cambridge, he decided to become an artist. In 1891 (25yo) he went
to Rome where he was immediately influenced by Michaelangelo and 
Raphael. The following year, he went
to the Acadamie Julian, returning later to 
Italy.
